History
A Proud Tradition Since 1898
The Bracken Court Hotel continues a long-standing tradition of hospitality at the heart of Balbriggan, North County Dublin — a site where a hotel has proudly stood for over 125 years.
It all began in 1898, when Mary and Charles Graham opened the Hamilton Arms Hotel on this very site. In 1933, the hotel was sold to Mary Rooney and renamed the Central Hotel, a name it held until 1939.
From 1939 to 1954, the hotel changed hands and names several times before being purchased by Patrick Reilly, who, in 1962, expanded the premises by acquiring the adjoining building. It then became known as The Grand Hotel, serving the community until 1989.
In 2000, the next chapter began under the ownership of the Moriarty Group, led by Luke Moriarty. The newly refurbished hotel reopened as the Bracken Court Hotel, combining timeless tradition with modern luxury. Since then, it has flourished, now renowned for its outstanding service, warm Irish welcome, and exceptionally comfortable stays.
The Bracken Court Hotel remains a beloved landmark - a place where history meets heartfelt hospitality.
